Vote expected today on new lawn watering restrictions
BAKERSFIELD, CA - State regulators are expected to vote Friday on limits for new lawns.
The rules would apply to landscaping for new and renovated homes, offices and schools. The rules will describe how much water should be used depending on the size of the lawn. But it doesn't describe when the lawn can be watered or what types of trees or shrubs can be planted. The governor has ordered residents to cut water an average 25 percent.
