Two pedestrians killed on local freeways

BAKERSFIELD, CA - The California Highway Patrol is investigating two deadly accidents involving pedestrians who were hit and killed on Bakersfield freeways. 
Just after midnight, a man was killed on eastbound Highway 58, east of Weedpatch Highway.     According to CHP officers on the scene, the man was walking in the fast lane for unknown reasons when the driver of a BMW hit him.     A second vehicle also hit the man a few moments later.
