Two dead in Buttonwillow crash

Two people are dead after a crash Tuesday morning in Buttonwillow.

The California Highway Patrol says a pickup was going north on Palomas in Buttonwillow when it ran the stop sign at highway 58.

A large freight truck with a crane on top hit the pickup broadside.

Two people in the pickup were ejected and landed in the front yard of a home and were pronounced dead at the scene.

The victims are a 24 year old woman and a man whose age is not yet known.
