Train carrying crude oil derails in West Virgina

Huntington, WV -- An train carrying crude oil derailed in West Virginia Monday.

Local NBC affiliate WSAZ in Huntington, West Virginia is reporting the derailment happened near Adena Village in a remote part of West Virgina, about 65 miles south of Pittsburgh, Pa.

A mile and a half around the train has been evacuated according to WSAZ.

Dispatchers told the Huntington, WV station that there were explosions and several nearby homes caught fire.
