Supervisors cut market owner a deal, change undersheriff status

Isabella Super Market owner Gary Cope was quick to promise Kern County Supervisor Mick Gleason Tuesday he'd help lead an anti-teen smoking campaign in the Kern River Valley.
The promise allowed him to dodge a $250 fine and 30-day suspension of his license to sell tobacco.
