SPCA wants to abolish elephant rides at KC Fair

The Kern County Fair Board voted 6-3 to keep elephant rides for now at the Kern County Fair for the next two years. Once the contract expires in 2017, it will be "sunsetted" or now renewed, ending elephant rides at the Fair.
