Sheriff's deputy shoots, kills charging pit bull

A Kern County Sheriff's deputy shot and killed a pit bull when it charged him in Oildale Friday afternoon during a vehicle theft investigation.

Deputies were in the 200 block of McCord Avenue around 4 p.m. when the incident occurred.
