Sen. Boxer announces she will not run in 2016

California Sen. Barbara Boxer announced today, Jan. 8, that she will not run for another term in 2016.

Boxer made the decision on her website today, announcing her retirement during a video interview with her grandson.

She said that her age is not a factor.

"Some people are old at 40 and some people are young at 80," said Boxer. "I feel as young as I did when I got elected"
