Roosevelt Elementary on lockdown

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Roosevelt Elementary School went on lockdown due to a suspect believed to be in a home on Banks St. At about 10 a.m., Bakersfield police detectives were in the neighborhood when they spotted a suspicious person in a vehicle. When detectives attempted to stop the vehicle, the suspect then fled leading detectives on a short pursuit. That's when Roosevelt Elementary was placed on lockdown according to Sgt.
