Ride service charges rider much more than expected

BAKERSFIELD, CA. - You might've heard about the possibility of increased fees New Year's eve for the ride sharing service Uber.      One local rider paid eight times the regular fare New Year's eve -- costing more than $270 for a 20 mile Uber ride. 
"We took more stops than usual to get home and thought the bill would be a little bit higher, not as extremely high as it was," said Sean Stevens.
