Port shutdown having effect on state's economy

BAKERSFIELD, CA - New numbers are showing the effect the slow down at west coast ports is having on our state's economy.
All 29 west coast ports will be partially closed this holiday weekend due to an ongoing labor dispute.     According to the Kern County Farm Bureau, statewide farmers are losing about $40 million a week in beef sales and  $20 million a week in citrus.     Meantime, $15 million worth of almonds are left sitting at ports, waiting to be expor
