Pet adoption event joins dogs with local veterans

BAKERSFIELD, CA - Some members of our armed forces are observing Memorial Day with a new member of the family.
Kern County Animal Services partnered with Animals for Armed Forces Foundation to offer free pet adoptions to veterans and their families during Memorial Day Weekend.     Organizers said it's their way of honoring our local heroes.
