Pest that can cause serious damage to citrus is here

BAKERSFIELD, CA- Citrus growers are already battling our state's drought, but they're also having to contend with the threat from a tiny pest known as the psyllid.Now that pest has shown up in the middle of Bakersfield.
The pest can carry the same disease that wiped out Florida's citrus crop a couple years ago.
The latest find was in Bakersfield's Westchester neighborhood last week.
The bug tested negative for "citrus greening".
Officials have canvassed the area.
