Pedestrian struck and killed on Highway 99

DELANO, CA - A pedestrian has died after being struck by a car while trying to cross the southbound lanes of Highway 99 near Garces Highway.The accident happened around 9:30 Wednesday night.The southbound lanes are shut down, and traffic is being taken off the freeway at Garces Highway.The closure is expected to last until around 1 a.m.
