Pedestrian fatally struck on Highway 99

A pedestrian walking on Highway 99 was struck and killed by a vehicle Saturday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The pedestrian, who hasn't been identified, was walking on northbound Highway 99 near a Union Pacific train overcrossing at about 2:45 p.m. when a 40-year-old man driving a Chevrolet Silverado pickup struck him at approximately 60 mph, a CHP collision report stated.
