Loyalty is spoken of as a virtue and a good thing, especially in the business world. Keeping an existing customer over the long haul is a lot more cost effective than trying to recruit a new customer.

Smart organizations know this, hence the great expanse of loyalty club cards that fill the average American's wallet. What many businesses fail to address, however, is that loyalty should go both ways.
