Mission preparing its Christmas Eve meal

BAKERSFIELD, CA - The Mission at Kern County is opening its kitchen Wednesday and volunteers are opening up their hearts as they serve a hot Christmas Eve meal for those in need.

Over 100 volunteers at the Mission prepared a delicious holiday meal Wednesday morning and will serve up to 600 people. On the menu is ham, scalloped potatoes, green beans, rolls and of course a slice of pie, plus some hot cocoa to wash it all down as well.
