Men who exploded acetylene-filled balloons accept plea deal

Two men who detonated explosive devices that injured themselves and others during a July 4 party accepted plea deals that will spare them from further time in custody.

James Patrick Trino pleaded no contest Tuesday to possession of an explosive device, a felony. Three other felonies including making a destructive device without a permit were dismissed.
