Man in custody dies shortly after being released

BAKERSFIELD, CA - The Kern County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of a man they arrested, then released from custody on Feb. 26.
It began with a traffic stop at Bear Valley Road and Roost Avenue, west of Golden Hills.     Deptueis arrested 44-year-old Donald Levingston on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance.
