Local runners racing in Boston marathon

BAKERSFIELD, CA.-Boston natives aren't the only ones participating in the Boston marathon today. More than fifteen Bakersfield runners will cross the starting line along with them. Nine of those runners are part of the local donut shop runners groups. Some of them were in Boston during the bombing. Bakersfield runners have trained for months to complete the 26.2 miles today in Boston.
