Local doctors accused of fraud

BAKERSFIELD, CA - Two local doctors face criminal charges -- accused of Medi-Cal fraud.
According to court documents, Dr. Monica Murphy is banned from treating Medi-Cal and medicare patients, following a 2003 felony conviction of grand theft and failing to file an income tax return. Murphy is accused of treating Medi-Cal and Medicare patients at Central Valley Medical Group in Bakersfield and Taft from August 2011 to May 2013.
