Known gang member sentenced to life without parole
BAKERSFIELD, CA.- A known gang member was sentenced on Feb. 18 for a deadly shooting at a 7-11 store in south Bakersfield last year.
Tony Vasquez was sentenced to life without parole plus 93 years in prison.
On Jan. 12, 2015, in a case prosecuted by Deputy District Attorney Joseph Kinzel, a Kern County jury convicted Vasquez of First Degree Murder and other charges relating to Vasquez' role as a shooter in a drive-by shooting that caused the death of Armando Ortiz, Jr.
