Kern County jury convicts man in a drive-by shooting

BAKERSFIELD, CA.-Kern County District Attorney Lisa Green announced a conviction in a significant murder case today.

On January 12, 2015, in a case prosecuted by Deputy District Attorney Joseph Kinzel, a Kern County jury convicted Tony Vasquez of First Degree Murder and other charges relating to Vasquez' role as a shooter in a drive-by shooting that caused the death of Armando Ortiz, Jr.
