Kern County grand jury looking for applicants

BAKERSFIELD, CA - Applications to be part of the Kern County Grand Jury are now being accepted.
A total of 19 randomly selected citizens are tasked with ensuring county and city governments are operating efficiently and public funds are effectively spent.     To qualify -- you must be a U.S. citizen, at least 18 years old, lived here for at least one year and be willing to dedicate about 20-hours a week.     The deadline to apply is April 2.      &
