KCSO: Man hurt in Lamont shooting

On April 24th, 2016 at about 12:46 am, a Kern County Sheriff' s deputy on patrol in Lamont heard several gunshots from the area of the Fastrip Store at 10301 Main Street in Lamont. The deputy responded to the area and as he arrived he observed a male suspect holding a shotgun while standing over another male subject who was lying on the ground near the gas pumps. As the deputy approached the suspect entered a white pickup that was parked nearby and fled in the truck.
