Junior high girl who died identified

The student who died at Richland Junior High School Thursday morning has been identified.
Paula Victoria June Hernandez, 14, of Bakersfield, died about 10 a.m. after complaining of ringing in her ears. She left gym class to get a drink of water. She was found shortly afterward passed out and went into cardiac arrest, according to school staffers who called 911 and gave the girl CPR until emergency personnel took her to Mercy Southwest Hospital.
