Highway 178 to close overnight for bridge demolition

BAKERSFIELD, CA- East and westbound Highway 178 will be closed Monday night between Haley Street and Mount Vernon Avenue.It will close at 11 a.m. and reopen Tuesday morning at 5.Caltrans will be demolishing a pedestrian bridge and building a new one that is more accessible for people with disabilities.
The closure may continue Tuesday night as well.The on and off-ramps at Mount Vernon Avenue will also be closed.
