Helping the homeless one cookie at a time

Scores of families Monday night visited 2301 Haggin Oaks Blvd. to enjoy at Christmas lights and cups of hot chocolate and apple cider.

Area residents sold the drinks and cookies to raise money for the Bakersfield Homeless Center in a 21-year-old fundraising tradition named Dustin's Diner.
