Gov. declares state of emergency in Kern County

Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. today issued an emergency proclamation for Kern County due to the effects of the Erskine Fire, which has claimed multiple lives, caused the evacuation of thousands of residents, burned thousands of acres and damaged homes and critical infrastructure.
