Gas prices creeping back up

BAKERSFIELD, CA- The prices of gas is creeping back up, now averaging $2.33 a gallon, for unleaded.

That's a 13 cent hike over the past two weeks and 26 cents over the past month.

It all started with higher crude oil prices, according to the Lundberg survey.

Other dynamics are at play including labor strikes at U.S. refineries and an explosion at a California plant.

Prices are still more than $1.00 less than they were a year ago.
