Former NFL player suspect in prison murder

DELANO, CA- A former National Football League Player and NCAA standout at Nebraska, Lawrence Phillips is a suspect in the death of his cell mate at Kern Valley State Prison.Prison officials say Damion Soward, 37 was found unresponsive in his cell Saturday about 12:46 a.m.Soward was taken to Delano Regional Medical center where he later died.Prison officials say Phillips was Soward's cell mate and right now id the suspect in the death.Phillips, 39, was sent to Kern Valley State Prison in 2008 af
