Fire crews contain grass fire to 24 acres

BAKERSFIELD, CA- A grass fire burned 24 acres of land near Weedpatch Highway and Highway 58 according to the Kern County Fire Department.The fire was reported by two off duty KCFD firefighters passing through the area just before 7 Sunday evening.Fire crews reported the fire was at 2 acres and spreading fast but crews were able to use existing roads in the area as fire lines and stop the progress of the fire.The fire was pushed by 10-15 mile an hour winds in the area.Crews contained the fi
