Family of five displaced after Taft fire

TAFT, CA - A family of five in Taft was displaced after their home caught fire, according to the Kern County Fire Department. They said the likely cause is a barbecue the family was using earlier that night.The fire happened in the 200 block of Buena Vista Avenue just after midnight on Thursday. KCFD crews arrived to find the single-story home with a fire in the rear of the structure.
