Elementary schools go on lockdown after calls

On Tuesday, at about 1:50 p.m., Bakersfield police officers were sent to Discovery Elementary at 7500 Vaquero Avenue and Horizon Elementary at 7901 Monitor Street after both schools reported receiving suspicious threatening phone calls within a few minutes of each other.
