Drought a factor in causing mudslides

It didn't take long for last night's storm to cause hazardous effects in the county. While most of Kern County accumulated less than half of an inch of estimated rainfall on Thursday, others areas received roughly two to three inches of rain fall in one hour, which caused flooding and mudslides.
