BAKERSFIELD, CA - The Kern County Animal Shelter is reviewing its protocol following last month's Wings of Rescue flight.Its founder says nearly a dozen animals were sick and some died when they arrived to other shelters in several states.Wings of Rescue is known for relocating hundreds of animals in Kern County and from across the country to permanent homes.
