Delano man killed by train

A Delano man is dead after being hit by a train Friday night. It happened just before 7 p.m. on the tracks near 21st Avenue and High Street in Delano. 63 year old Rhonnie Knox was struck by a Union Pacific train and died at the scene. Delano police officers were in the area when they were flagged down by witnesses. The crossing was closed for several hours while officials tried to figure out what happened. The investigation is still underway. By our count, this is the 12th pedestrian
