Decades old murder mystery has Bakersfield link

BAKERSFIELD, CA- A 27-year-old murder mystery in Oklahoma, has ties to Bakersfield.

In 1988 a woman was found dead in the Neosho River in eastern Oklahoma.

She was given the nickname "Daisy Doe" because she had a tattoo of a daisy on her shoulder.

Detectives never gave up trying to identify the victim.

This year, using technology not available in 1988, detectives identified the woman as 30-year-old Jeanette Ellen Coleman.
