CSUB students move into new digs

Gabriella Strand, a Cal State Bakersfield freshman, walked across the east end of campus Friday carrying two betta fish in a two-compartment fish tank the size of a shoe box.

Her father, Mickey Strand, toted a door mirror and a plastic bag stuffed with odds and ends.
