CSUB gets grant to train STEM teachers

BAKERSFIELD, CA- CSUB has received a grant from the Federal Department of Education that will help attract and train new STEM teachers.

STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) are considered to be the job fields of the future.

CSUB got one of just 24 grants handed out across the country.

The $7.3 million grant will be used to develop a program that will place STEM teachers in rural schools.
