County supervisors pass Laura's Law
BAKERSFIELD, CA - The Kern County Board of Supervisors passed "Laura's Law" Tuesday. It's a law that can keep mental health outpatients in treatment for up to 180 days.
Assembly bill 1421, better known as "Laura's Law" was named after mental health worker, Laura Wilcox of Nevada county in Northern California.
