Correctional officer shot at North Kern State Prison

DELANO, CA- Law enforcement officials are still searching for the person who shot a corrections officer at North Kern State Prison Monday night.Investigators say multiple shots were fired Monday night around 7:30 from outside the prison gates.SWAT teams from the the Delano Police Department, Kern County Sheriff's Office and the California Highway Patrol searched a perimeter around the prison.
That perimeter extends west of the facility to Highway 43 and north of the prison to county line r
