Construction of new center for the disabled kicks off

Under cloudy skies, New Advances for People with Disabilities broke ground Friday morning on the new Center for Creative Achievement, a $4.1 million, 17,000-square-foot facility that will be built on Brittan Street, west of North Sillect Avenue. The center is a day program that provides a creative learning environment for more than 180 adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
