Complaint website launched for apple recall

BAKERSFIELD, CA - The Bakersfield-based apple producer tied to listeria-tainted caramel apples, has created a website for consumers to file claims in connection with the tainted apples.

The Bidart Bros. issued a voluntary recall on Jan. 6 of all Granny Smith and Gala Apples after the Food and Drug Administration announced the results of an investigation confirming two strains of Listeria Monocytogenes at the processing facility.
