City says water restrictions are working

BAKERSFIELD, CA- The Water Resources Board for the City of Bakersfield says our water conservation is improving but we are not at our goal yet.City Councilman and Board Chair Harold Hanson reported at a meeting Wednesday that the city decreased its water delivery in May by 25 percent as compared to May 2013.The state mandated goal is 36 percent.The city could be fined for by the state for not meeting the goal, but Hanson says he is not worried about that for now.
