City says July Fourth fireworks back on

BAKERSFIELD, CA- At a Bakersfield City Council meeting Wednesday evening City Manager Alan Tandy announced the city had found a sponsor for the July Fourth Fireworks at River Walk.The celebration had been canceled due to the lack of a sponsor but San Joaquin Community Hospital and Kaiser Permanente stepped up with sponsorship.Also the Bakersfield Police Officers Association made a contribution that will add bounce houses and bands to the event.
