BPD: AB 109 responsible for more gang shootings

BAKERSFIELD, CA - Bakersfield Police Department officials revealed two recent gang-related shootings, where suspects fired on police officers, involved suspects who had recently been released from prison as part of the AB-109 prison realignment.
The announcement came during a safe neighborhoods and community relations committee meeting on Feb. 19 from Lt. Joe Mullins, who commented on recent gang activity.
