Board votes Piccolo Pete fireworks still OK in unincorporated Kern

Shooting off illegal fireworks this Fourth of July could be a lot more expensive for some people based on a new ordinance passed by the Kern County Board of Supervisors Tuesday.

The board voted to hold property owners or renters responsible for anyone shooting off illegal fireworks on their property in unincorporated parts of the county.
