BCSD teachers to vote on tentative contract Tuesday

Teachers in the Bakersfield City School District will vote on a 7 percent salary increase Tuesday after months of contract negotiations. The raise would, if teachers and school board members approve it, be implemented as a 3.5 percent increase in 2014-2015 and a 3.5 percent increase in 2015-2016.
