Bakersfield Realtor named to fair board

Bakersfield Realtor Blodgie Rodriguez, 46, has been appointed by Gov. Jerry Brown to the Kern County Fair Board of Directors.

"I'm thrilled to death," Rodriguez said Wednesday, after the appointment was announced. "It's something I wanted to do since I was a little girl. Some people want to do great things. I just want to serve on the fair board."
